Integrity Consulting
Technical integrity support that turns ILI, operating, sampling, chemical, and pigging data into practical decisions. Foxx helps operators understand what is happening, why it may be happening, and where programs can be strengthened.
- Internal corrosion assessment
- Chemical & pigging program review
- ILI, DRA & technical support
What is Integrity Consulting?
Integrity consulting provides the technical review, program development, and knowledge support needed to turn integrity requirements into practical action.
- Internal corrosion reviews to support CSA Z662 Clause 9 requirements and annual regulatory evaluations.
- Technical guidelines and documentation to close IMP actions and address program gaps.
- Field and operations training to build practical knowledge of corrosion, pigging, sampling, chemical treatment, and integrity requirements.

Could DRA be solving one problem while creating another?
Foxx can help assess how DRA may be affecting deposition, cleaning effectiveness, facilities, and long-term internal corrosion risk.
Illustrative. Drag drops and throughput climbs; what settles behind the flow is the question.
38%
of Alberta pipeline incidents are caused by internal corrosion, nearly three times external corrosion.
Alberta holds the licence-holder liable for every dollar of emergency response and cleanup, no matter the cause, and requires every failure to be reported, down to a pinhole. The only defence is a monitoring record that shows the threat was measured and managed.
Source: Alberta Energy Regulator pipeline performance data. Nearly half of internal-corrosion failures occur on oil-well effluent lines.
What does the trend say, and what do we do about it?
A single number is a data point. Eight quarters is a decision. Here a rising SRB count is read as active MIC, the biocide program is re-specified, and the next four rounds show whether it worked.
Illustrative series. The Q4 value, 4.10E+05 cells/mL, is from a Foxx sample report.
The decision, in three lines
Read
SRB climbs an order of magnitude a quarter while inhibitor residual holds. Mechanism: MIC under deposits, not a chemistry failure.
Decide
Re-specify the biocide program and add a cleaning pig run ahead of each dose so the treatment reaches the wall.
Verify
Sample again on the same schedule. Four rounds later the count is below where it started, and the record shows why.
How does it work?
- 01
Internal corrosion assessment
Mechanism and risk
Bacteria, chemistry, solids and inhibitor-residual trends are read against operating conditions to identify the active mechanism and where the line is most likely to fail.
- 02
Chemical and pigging review
Program tuning
Does the inhibitor reach effective concentration at the far end? Does pigging frequency match the solids and yield data? The review answers both with numbers.
- 03
Pig design and selection
The right tool
Cup, disc, brush or combination, sized and specified for the line and the debris it actually carries.
- 04
Program assessment and development
CSA Z662
An existing program is audited against CSA Z662 and regulator expectations, or a new one is built from the sampling plan up with monitoring schedules and decision thresholds.
- 05
Technical documentation
Audit-ready
Guidelines, procedures and the annual risk assessment record, written so an auditor can follow them and an operator can run them.
When does Foxx get the call?
When integrity teams need an independent technical review, a developing issue needs to be understood, or an integrity program needs to be strengthened, updated, or defended.
- Internal corrosion risk needs a closer look
- Chemical program performance is uncertain
- Pigging effectiveness needs review
- ILI or operating data is showing a new trend
- DRA impacts need to be understood
- IMP actions or technical gaps need to be closed
