Field Sampling & Testing

Reliable sampling starts with getting the right sample at the right time. Foxx supports scheduled and responsive sampling programs with a focus on sample quality, traceability, and timely results.

  • Trained field crews & equipped trucks
  • On-site testing
  • One call = sample to results

What is Field Sampling & Testing?

Field sampling and testing is the collection and analysis of product, water, solids, and deposits from pipelines, tanks, and facilities to better understand asset condition, product quality, contamination, and corrosion-related concerns.

  • Integrity and corrosion monitoring
  • Product quality and contamination assessment
  • Routine, investigative, and event-driven sampling

Bacteria samples

Time and temperature matter. Samples are kept cold from collection through storage and shipment to help preserve sample integrity and test reliability.

"Don't make decisions based on a sample that spent days in the back of a truck."

Where is the pig yield sample at 08:40?

Already being tested. Foxx collects the sample fresh from the receiver, documents what the pig brought back, and starts time-sensitive testing before it leaves site. Here is one sample's day, hour by hour.

  1. 08:10

    Collected at the receiver

Fresh liquids & solids sampled from the pig yield.

  2. 08:25

    Yield documented

    Volume, appearance & photos recorded.

  3. 08:40

MIC & pH read on site

Fresh material screened for bacteria & pH.

    30 min from draw
  4. 11:30

    Shipped under custody

Preserved with ice, sealed & chain of custody intact.

  5. Day 2+

    Laboratory panel

qPCR, water chemistry & solids analysis as requested.

  6. Report

    Trended against last run

Yield, bacteria, chemistry and solids compared over time.

Times are for illustrative purposes.

How does it work?

  1. 01

    Collect

    On site, on schedule

Samples are collected from pipelines, tanks, facilities, dig sites, wells, and plants, then labelled and logged at the point of collection.

  2. 02

    Test on site

    While it's fresh

Time-sensitive parameters such as pH, ATP, and corrosion inhibitor residual are measured at the source where practical.

  3. 03

    Preserve & ship

    Chain of custody

Samples are preserved, sealed, temperature-controlled where required, and shipped under chain of custody and applicable TDG requirements.

  4. 04

    Analyze

    Laboratory testing

Testing may include qPCR, water chemistry, solids characterization, product quality, and other analysis selected for the objective.

  5. 05

    Report & trend

    Turn results into information

Results are organized consistently and compared with previous rounds so changes, trends, and developing concerns are easier to identify.

When does Foxx get the call?

When clients need reliable sampling and testing to support operational or integrity decisions, meet regulatory requirements, prepare for audits, or investigate an emerging concern.

  • Routine monitoring kept on schedule
  • Chemical treatment verification
  • Internal corrosion monitoring & mitigation support
  • Product quality or contamination concerns
  • Extra capacity when internal resources are stretched
  • Specialized bacteria / MIC sampling & testing
